Hailing from what is known to many as Steel City, singer/songwriter Jamila B., has been building her name inside and outside of her hometown in Hamilton, Ontario. She began with singing at local school talent shows and competitions and she has now expanded to live venues. Jamila’s style is a mix of pop and r&b, but she is known to mingle in other genres such as reggae and dance. In her short career, she has shared the stage with The Clipse, Choclair, Derrick Morgan, The Ink Spots, Tanya Stephens, and Bobby Valentino.
Jamila B. is currently signed as a songwriter for T.G. Publishing which is based in Denmark. Along with writing songs for artists, Jamila is also pushing her solo career and had her single, “Do Without My Love” chart for several weeks on Czech Republic’s Kiss FM radio station which also earned her the number one spot.
When Jamila is not working on music, she is developing her skills as a video editor which you can see in various videos that she has presented online.
